Obituary of Annie Jim Spradlin Waters

Funeral services for Annie Jim Spradlin Waters, age 82, of Woodland will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ed Halsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Wednesday before services begin.

Mrs. Waters passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.

Survivors include her daughter, Fredia Daniel (Mike) of Woodland; three sons, Franky Waters and Teddy Waters, both of Woodland, and Freddie Waters (Regina) of Waco, GA; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joan Craig (Jim) of Woodland.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Hammond, Wayne Wilson, Ethan Fowler, Joey Whaley, Eric Dye, Phillip Dye, John Daniel, and Ricky Waters.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Waters was born on August 27, 1939, the daughter of Curtis and Audrey Reaves Spradlin.  She was a member of Union Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress at Roanoke Fashions.  Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Waters; one son, Frederick Waters; one sister, Patsy Dye; and two brothers, LeRoy Spradlin and T. C. Spradlin.
