Obituary of Lane Alan Meadows

Funeral services for Lane Alan Meadows, age 18, of Woodland will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Norred officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Congregational Methodist Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Saturday, May 28, 2022. Lane will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services beginning Sunday.

Lane passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, in LaGrange, Georgia.

Survivors include his mother, Carisa White Fink (husband, Jessie); father, Chad Meadows; siblings, Cole Meadows, Colby Meadows, Annalise Meadows, Julia Meadows, Daria Meadows, Iris Meadows, and Zoey Fink; step-siblings, Natalie Merchant, Madeline Merchant, Lilah Merchant, and Griffin Merchant; paternal grandparents, Dale and Judy Meadows; maternal grandparents, Pete White, Sr. and Janice Cummings; aunts and uncles, Trent and Beverly Meadows, Jennifer and Keith Slaton, Ginger and Bernie Bitzer, Jon White, James and Yesylle White, Jason and Melanie White, Camilla and Randall Moore, Scott and Emily White, Cara White, and Brenden Cummings.

Pallbearers will be Cole Meadows, Colby Meadows, Eric White, Guy McManus, Eli Rollins, Jackson Lovvorn, Dalton Bolan, and Seth Slaton. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb White, Brodie Slaton, Jacob Slaton, and Ethan White.

A lifelong Randolph County resident, Lane was born on May 28, 2003, the son of Chad Meadows and Carisa White Fink. Lane was a 2021 graduate of Woodland High School and had been employed by BW Mechanical as a welder. A true country boy at heart, Lane loved the outdoors and relished any chance he had to fish and hunt. He also loved spending time with his friends, family, and girlfriend, Macey Slick. He loved all animals but had a special place in his heart for dogs.
