Obituary of Melissa Green Bridgman

Funeral services for Melissa Green Bridgman, age 57, of Woodland will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Prince officiating.  Burial will follow at Napoleon Church of Christ Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30-8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

Mrs. Bridgman passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Traylor’s Retirement Center in Roanoke, Alabama.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Bridgman of Woodland; two daughters, Jacqueline Brown (Matthew) of Lafayette and Brittany Milam of Roanoke; one son, Matthew Bridgman (Brittany) of Roanoke; five grandchildren; one brother, Charles Green (Suzanne) of Woodland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Wilson, Chris Burgin, Tim Hester, Matthew Brown, Matthew Bridgman, and Jason Hudson.

A Wedowee native, Mrs. Bridgman was born on June 12, 1964, the daughter of Clifford and Imogene Hester Green.  She was a member of Napoleon Church of Christ and worked as a nurse at Traylor’s Retirements Center.  Mrs. Bridgman was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Cooper Bridgman; a sister, Yolanda Hudson; and a brother, Phillip Green.
