Obituary of Margaret Holder Traylor

Funeral services for Margaret Holder Traylor, age 97, of Woodland will be held on Monday, September 5, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Chance Meinzer officiating.  Burial will follow at Wedowee City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 AM until services begin on Monday.

Mrs. Traylor passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Traylor’s Retirement Center in Roanoke.

Survivors include: nieces, Sandra Daniels of Kennesaw, GA, and Geneva Messer of Wedowee; and nephews, Joe Messer (Tanya) of Wedowee, Dan Holder (Gloria) of Montgomery, AL, and Wayne Holder (Ann) of Wedowee, and Fred Lovvorn (Joan) of Woodland.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Malachi Holder, Daniel Wayne Holder, Brit Lovvorn, Traylor Lovvorn, Tony Ray Messer, and Barry Messer.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Traylor was born on February 1, 1925, the daughter of Guy M. and Nettie L. Strain Holder.  She was a member of Noonday Christian Church and worked in design and clerical for Lockheed Aircraft.  Mrs. Traylor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George W. Traylor; nephew, Tony Messer; brother, Donald Holder; and sister, Gerris Messer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Noonday Christian Church’s Cemetery Fund.
