I have so much love and so many good memories from childhood that include Aunt Essie Mae. She was a beautiful, sweet lady.

My Aunt Essie Mae, "Beady", was a precious soul who was loved by many, especially by my mother, Judy Lane Brasher. I have many fond memories of yesteryear spending time with her, Uncle Herbert, Kenneth, Darrell, and then later on after Cousin Joe was born, when they visited us, and the many times we visited with them at my grandmother's home(Gertrude Lane), at my great grand parents' (Mark Oral & Dovie Beck Smith) home, or at family reunions.
She will always hold a special place in all of our hearts and be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, and amazing generosity to all who knew her. Essie Mae was a beautiful woman on the outside and an even prettier one on the inside.

Too many happy memories for me to even start on. Miss Essie Mae was everything that a family needs
and more. I saw first hand the love and forgiveness that is the backbone of a strong family. She always knew what needed to be done or said, and she did it
or said it.
Miss Essie Mae was a great cook, a wonderful mother, and a true southern lady. Those of us that knew her are surely blessed by her example of a real Christian! I thank the boys for sharing her with me, and am proud to count the family as friends.
Love Ya'll
David Bishop
