Obituary of Annette Waters

Graveside memorial services for Annette Waters, age 70, of Wedowee will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Wedowee City Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Waters passed away Monday, January 30, 2023, at her residence.

Survivors include: one daughter, Sherry Brown (Kevin) of Wedowee; one son, Brandon Wier (Tabatha) of Wedowee; two grandchildren, Reagan Brown and Kaylee Taft; two sisters, Barbara Green (Dale) of Umatilla, OR, and Charlotte Butler of Florence, AL; and two brothers, Butch Rice (Debbie) of Wedowee and Matt Rice of Wadley.

A Randolph County native, Ms. Waters was born on July 15, 1952, the daughter of Herbert E. and Dorothy Traylor Rice.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wedowee and worked as a certified mapper for the State of Alabama before retiring.  Ms. Waters was preceded in death by her parents.
