Funeral services for Karren Parker Turner, age 45, will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Phillips officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Friday before services begin.

Mrs. Turner passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at her home.

Survivors include her husband, David Turner, Sr., of Wedowee; two daughters, Ashiyanna Knight (Bridget) of LaGrange, GA, and Raven Marable of Wedowee; one son, Demetrius Marable (Tamia) of Watertown, NY; her mother, Charlotte Parker; one stepdaughter, Nicole Ivory of Carrollton, GA; one stepson, David Turner, Jr.; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Brandy Drummond of Wedowee, Denise Parker of Michigan, and Delores Parker of Woodland; and two brothers, Christopher Parker of Sylacauga and Charles Parker of Wedowee.

A Wedowee native, Mrs. Turner was born on April 3, 1977, the daughter of Charles and Charlotte McPherson Parker.  She was a member of Zion’s Rest Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Terrell; grandparents, Charlie Will Parker, Sr., and Lurline Parker; and one brother Chad Vernard Parker.
