Funeral services for Gerald “Ray” Yarbrough, age 67, of Woodland, will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Herren’s Grove Baptist Church with Rev. David Daniel and Rev. David Taft officiating. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Yarbrough will lie in state for one hour prior to service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday.

Mr. Yarbrough passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Pullen Yarbrough; daughters, Angie McManus (Randy) of Woodland, AL., Tracy Morgan (Lance) of Albertville, AL., and special daughter, Joani Dyke of Graham, AL.; sons, Brandon Yarbrough of Woodland, AL. and Brad Yarbrough (Tara) of Bremen, GA.; eight grandchildren, Grace McManus, Guy McManus, Rayana Yarbrough, Bryson Yarbrough, Isaac Yarbrough, Baylee Morris Payne (Caleb), Olivia Franklin, and Ethan Wortham; brother, Max Yarbrough (Wilda) of Woodland, AL.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Basil Synder, Wayne Akins, Chuck Yarbrough, Randy Cofield, Benji Whitmore, and Tommy Herren.

Mr. Yarbrough was born in Franklin, Georgia, on August 6, 1955, the son of Lewis Sam and Lottie Harris Yarbrough.  He was a member and Deacon of Herren’s Grove Baptist Church and was retired from the logging industry.  Mr. Yarbrough was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joy Akins Yarbrough; sister, Beverly Yarbrough; and brother, Charles Yarbrough.
