Obituary of Archie Ray Gay

Funeral services for Archie Ray Gay, infant, of Woodland, will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with speaker, Larry Strain. Burial will follow at Big Springs Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 - 2:00 PM before services begin.

Archie passed away on April 20, 2023 at Tanner Medical Center in Wedowee, Alabama.

Survivors include his mother, Jordan Williamson; father, Axson Gay; grandparents, Paul and Kerri Gay of Roanoke, AL., Alan Williamson of Woodland, AL., Sandy Harris of Woodland, AL., and Joe and Tracey Baldwin of Woodland, AL.; great-grandparents, Margie Gay of Woodland, AL., Doris Kemmerlin of Woodland, AL., Linda Williamson of Roanoke, AL., Carolyn and Charlie Hanner of Woodland, AL.; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Luke Rice and Ty Baldwin. Honorary pallbearers are Zack Langley, Dylan Baldwin, Chance Cummings, and Cameron Asbell.

Archie was born on March 11, 2023, the son of Axson Gay and Jordan Williamson. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Jenna Williamson; and great grandparents, Archie Lewis Kemmerlin, Ray Gay, Brenda and Jody Overton, and Marshall Williamson.
