Bobby John “BJ” Long, age 87, of Heflin, passed away on May 2, 2023, at his residence. Survivors include his granddaughter, Stephanie Baker (JJ) of Heflin, AL.; grandson, Steven Haynes (Renae) of Heflin, AL.; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb Haynes, Kolton Haynes, Kattie Haynes, and Michael Mobus.
Mr. Long was born in Daggett, Michigan, on September 9, 1935, the son of Peter and Dehlia Care Long. He was a member of Cool Springs Methodist Church and worked as a Carpenter. Mr. Long was preceded in death by his parents.
