Funeral services for Charles Hiram Green, age 82, of Wedowee will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tommy Burke officiating.  Burial will follow at Green’s Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023.

Mr. Green passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Traylor’s Nursing Center in Roanoke.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Minnie Green of Wedowee and several nieces and nephews.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Green was born on October 22, 1940, the son of Acie Bruce and Mary Benefield Green.  He was a member of Green’s Chapel Methodist Church.  Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Terry Michael Green and James Green.
