Obituary of Juston David Benefield
Funeral services for Juston David Benefield, 38, of Oxford, will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Daniel Gissendaner officiating. Burial will follow at Potash Church of God Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM on Tuesday before services begin.
Juston was born on December 11, 1984, and departed this life on August 11, 2023. He was a native of Calhoun County and a 2003 graduate of Oxford High School. Juston entered the work force in sales and management of Southern Used Cars, a family-owned business.
Juston leaves behind to cherish his memory one beloved son, Judson David Benefield (Judd) AKA “Buddy” of Oxford, AL; his mother, Brenda Benefield of Munford, AL; three brothers, David Benefield (Leisa) of Wedowee, Craig Baldwin (Misti) of Evans, GA, and Brandon Benefield (Jenn) of Oxford; four sisters, Donna Standridge (Doug) of Blountsville, AL, Shoan Sewell (Ray), Kendal Cotton (Chad), and Brianne Poore, all of Munford, AL. Juston became an uncle at the early age of 2 ½ and played the role of uncle to 10 nephews, 3 nieces, and 3 great-nephews, each of whom treasure the memories of his presence in their lives. One uncle, Gary Spears (Judy) of Roanoke; two aunts, Joy Rollins (Thomas) of Roanoke and Marlene Lindley (Jerry) of Wedowee, many cousins on Benefield and Spears side of the family.
Juston was preceded in death by his role model and hero, his dad, Wesley Benefield; his paternal grandparents, Byron Benefield (Bertha); maternal grandparents, Bill Spears (Avel); and a sister, Dehabra Benefield.
Juston never met a stranger, only potential friends, and never considered anyone beneath him, only equal or better. His wit and humor never quit even in hard times. He will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Ray Sewell, Hunter Cotton, Brayden Poore, Brandon Benefield, and Tyler Barnett.
