Obituary of Cordie Bell Robinson Green

Funeral services for Cordie Bell Robinson Green, age 95, of Woodland will be held on Monday, October 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Bear Creek Methodist Church with Rev. Jacob Wilkerson officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2023.  Mrs. Green will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Monday.

Mrs. Green passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation in Lineville, Alabama.

Survivors include: one daughter, Linda Ramirez (Nino) of Clay, Alabama; one son, John Charles Sanders (Marie) of Tallapoosa, GA; four grandchildren, Matthew Ramirez, Tony Ramirez (Angela), Charles Sanders (Stephanie), and Tyler Sanders (Megan); five great-grandchildren, Bradley Sanders, Colton Sanders, Jonah Sanders (Avery), Zackary Sanders, and Conrad Ramirez; and one brother, James Robinson (Sarah) of Bowdon, GA.

Pallbearers will be Tony Ramirez, Matthew Ramirez, Charles Sanders, Tyler Sanders, Bradley Sanders, Jonah Sanders, Zackary Sanders, and Colton Sanders.

A Carroll County, Georgia native, Mrs. Green was born on September 19, 1928, the daughter of Joe Taylor and Lillie Maybell Eason Robinson.  She was a member of Bear Creek Methodist Church and worked as a seamstress at Bremen-Bowdon Investment Company before retiring.  Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Napoleon “Poley” Green.
