Funeral services for Yvonne F. Sears, age 67, of Woodland will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023,

at 12 noon at Bear Creek Methodist Church with Bro. Jacob Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in

the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29,

2023. Mrs. Sears will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Thursday.

Mrs. Sears passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in

Newnan, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, Steven Sears of Woodland; two sons, Robert Miller (Alicia) of Ranburne,

AL, and Brian Sears of Woodland; two grandchildren, Cammilyn Miller and Riley Miller; and one brother,

William King (Andrea) of Franklin, GA.

A Sarasota, Florida native, Mrs. Sears was born on October 21, 1956, the daughter of William and Ethel

King. She was a member of Bear Creek Methodist Church in Woodland and was retired from working in

the lunchroom at Woodland High School. Mrs. Sears was preceded in death by her parents and a son,

Kevin Sears.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Mrs. Sears memory be made to the Randolph County

Animal Shelter at 104 Animal Shelter Road, Wedowee, AL 36278.
