Obituary of Michael Stephen Perry

Funeral services for Michael Stephen Perry, age 66, of Lineville will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at Wedowee City Cemetery.

Mr. Perry passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at his residence.

Survivors include: one brother, Tom Perry of Wedowee; two nieces, Christina (Mark) Awbrey of Auburn and Hilary (Ryan) Sewell of Roanoke; one nephew, Astin Perry of Wedowee; and several great-nieces and nephews.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Perry was born on September 22, 1957, the son of George William and Vernie Laney Perry.  He was Methodist by faith and enjoyed carpentry and reading and telling ghost stories.  Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Zachary Perry; and a brother, Bill Perry.
