Funeral services for Myrtis Johnson Robinson, age 93, of Newell will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM CST at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Frank Lyons and Bro. Clyde Campbell officiating.  Burial will be held on Monday, February 19, at 11:00 AM EST at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM CST on Saturday, February 17 before services begin.

Mrs. Robinson passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at her residence.

Survivors include: three grandchildren, Darcie Johnson, Kristopher Johnson, and Megan Johnson; and four sisters, Doris Sherman of Shady Valley, TN, Sue Riley of Hampton, GA, Opal Taylor of Rex, GA, and Jean Carroll of Signal Mountain, TN.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Robinson was born on January 23, 1931, the daughter of Elbert Lindsey and Fannie Lee Pauley Mitchell. She was a member of Liberty Church of Christ and was a retired LPN at Traylor’s Nursing Home.  Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Kenneth Johnson and Donald Robinson; one son, Kenneth Layfayette Johnson; two sisters, Alice Burdett and Pearl Arrington; and two brothers, Tim Mitchell and E. J. Mitchell.
