Born on July 25, 1952 in Birmingham, AL, daughter to the late Jimmy Hudson and Nell McDonald Green.
Hope, as she was known by, is survived by her husband, James Donald Davidson of Wedowee, AL and her two sons, Wade Davidson of Wedowee, AL and Brandon Davidson of Newnan, GA. Her two sisters, Donna Davidson of Lineville, AL and Dana Hudson of Heflin, AL and one brother, Mac Hudson of Melbourne, FL. A special heart sister Diane Smith of Wadley, AL Lastly, but always first in her heart, in what made her the proudest and smile more than anything, her grandchildren. Destinee Davidson of Anniston, AL, Trinity Davidson of Anniston, AL, Tyla Davidson of Tallahassee, FL, Ty Davidson of Ashland, AL, and Luke Davidson of Tallahassee, FL. Plus 3 great grands she loved dearly. Her grands affectionately called her “MeMe”. And MeMe absolutely loved the honor of being called that.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Holly Johnson, and a special “heart” sister, Kathy Rice.

Pallbearers will be John Mark Prestridge, Mark Prestridge, Jack Prestridge, Chris Matthews, Thomas Langley, and Tim Matthews.  Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Prestridge, Steve Davidson, and Brenford Davidson.

Born and raised in Lineville, AL, MeMe was the oldest of five children born to the late Jimmy Hudson and Nell McDonald Green. As the oldest, this is undoubtedly where she learned the craft that many of us adore her for to this day, and that is lovingly taking care of others. She married while still in high school and it was at this time she went to work. At this time she started her first career as a beautician. She took great pride in helping people look and feel good. After high school, she and her husband relocated to Alexander City, AL, for a brief time where she continued her passion of doing hair. Randolph County would eventually be the place she called home, residing first in Roanoke and finally Wedowee. Before moving to Wedowee, she transitioned into a career in waiting tables at the Hub Restaurant. It’s here where she truly found her gift of baking and decorating cakes. She loved doing wedding cakes and catering weddings, making sure some couples special day was perfect. She would also cut hair on the side for those that asked her. She always made sure that others were taken care of before her. She never met a stranger and if you were around her enough, you were certain to hear a special joke, as she loved making others laugh. Greatly missed she will be but forever healed she is now.
