Clifford Clarence Gibbons, 91, of Wedowee, AL, (formerly of Berryville, VA) went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 29, 2024.
Cliff was born October 5, 1932, in Palmyra, Ohio, the son of the late Isaac Perry Gibbons and Zora Mae Carnes Gibbons of Warren, Ohio.
Cliff served in the US Air Force as a Teletype Operator, then most of his working years were spent as a Cable Technician for the C & P Telephone Company in Herndon,VA.
After he and his dear wife Verna Lee retired from C & P Telephone, they moved south to Georgia, and finally to AL to be near their daughter, Tina.
Cliff was a born again Christian and a member of Westside Christian Church in Hiram, GA. After moving to AL, he enjoyed Pine Hill Christian Church in Graham, AL.
Cliff was an outdoorsman, a do-it-yourselfer, a mini-farmer, a gardener, a sports enthusiast, and loved a good piano player.

Cliff is survived by his son, Rodney Lee Gibbons (Darlene) of Winchester, VA and Tina Louise Gibbons Morris (Hensel, Jr) of Wedowee, AL; Grandchildren Hensel C (Trey) Morris, III (Kim), William (Greg) Gregory Morris, Heather Raine Morris, Joshua David Morris (Stephanie); and Great Grandchildren Taylor Morris, Madison Morris, James Abshire, Alyxis Callahan, and Devin Morris, and Great Great Granddaughter, Willow Rae Blankenship; and many nieces and nephews.

Cliff was preceded in death by his dear wife Verna Lee Lepley Gibbons and his brothers and sisters, Dorothy, Irene, Olive, Mabel, James, Robert, and Raymond.
 
There will be a family gathering at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia, on April 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM.  A private burial will occur at a later date.
