Obituary of Mary Fields

Graveside services for Mary Fields, age 86, will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Tim Craft and Bro. Matt Browning officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:30 AM on Wednesday before services begin.

Mrs. Fields passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Lineville Health & Rehabilitation.

Survivors include: two sons, Jeff Fields and Joey V. Fields (Sharon), both of Wedowee; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Shane Nelson, Joey Cofield, Seth Cofield, Joe Craft, Walt Craft, and Cody Nelson.

A Cleburne County native, Mrs. Fields was born on July 5, 1937, the daughter of E. W. and Cora Allen Waits.  She was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress at Bremen-Bowdon Investments.  Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lendon Fields; and three brothers and four sisters.
