Funeral services for Dr. Ronnie White, age 75, of Gaylesville, Alabama, will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Dempsey officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.  Dr. White will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Wednesday.

Dr. White passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Huddleston White; two daughters, Lauren White (Josh) of Plymouth, MI, and Danielle Buchanan (James) of Rainbow City; one sister, Kay Colman of Bowling Green, KY; and one brother, Rickey White of Biloxi, MS.

Pallbearers will be Colton Pittman, Wayne Huddleston, Steve Lipham, Greg Lipham, Carlton Teague, and Larry “Don” Teague.

A Hattiesburg, Mississippi native, Dr. White was born on March 8, 1949, the son of Earl and Gladys Stevens White.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove in Hattiesburg, MS, and also served in the Army National Guard.  During his medical career, Dr. White worked at Wedowee Hospital, the Mississippi Department of Corrections, and in various ERs throughout Alabama.  He was an avid gun collector who loved the outdoors and loved travelling, especially out west.  Dr. White was preceded in death by his parents.
