Funeral services for Kathy Diane Hubbard, age 61, of Woodland will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM Central Time at High Point Church of God in Franklin, Georgia, with Rev. Mark Tatum, Rev. Dwaine Shaddix and Sister Kathy Terrell officiating. Burial will follow in adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM Central Time on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Mrs. Hubbard will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning at 12:00 PM Central Time on Wednesday.

Mrs. Hubbard passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at her residence after a long battle with cancer.

Survivors include: husband, Lamar Hubbard of 41 ½ years; daughter, Amanda Caldwell; special daughter, Shannon (Steve) Harrington; granddaughter, Alanah Caldwell; sister, Vera (Jeff) Blank of Port Rickey, FL; brothers, Kenneth (Wanda) Craven and Jeffery (Kelly) Craven both of Woodland, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steve Harrington, Bubba Harrington, Johnny Mitchell, Paul Wiggins, Gaven Caldwell and Mark Mitchell.

A Roanoke, Alabama, native, Mrs. Hubbard was born on July 20, 1962, the daughter of Bonnie Craven and Geneva Brown Craven. She was a member of High Point Church of God and had been employed by the Randolph County Board of Education as a cafeteria worker. Mrs. Hubbard was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Timothy Shaw; sister, Glenda Roberts; maternal grandparents, Robert and Etta Overton Brown; and paternal grandparents, Coney Lee and Minnie Bell Parker Craven.
