Graveside services for Kimberly B. Rice, age 61, of Wedowee will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 7:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Chris Mitchell officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-6:30 PM on Tuesday, June 25 before services begin.

Mrs. Rice passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Rice, Jr., of Wedowee; three daughters, Teshia Heard (Jeff) of Woodland, Krystal Payne (John) and Shauna Milner (William), both of Wedowee; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her mother, Willie Maude Brown of Wedowee; and her father-in-law, Harold Rice, Sr., of Wedowee.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Brown, Tommy Brown, Tim Brown, Buck Heard, Ty Payne, and Anthony Milner.

A Wedowee native, Mrs. Rice was born on August 23, 1962, the daughter of Vernon and Willie Maude Brown.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wedowee and worked in payroll for Yourway Trucking.  Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Brown and mother-in-law, Letha Rice.
