Funeral services for Nancy Clyde Gosdin Waters, 96, of Woodland will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Jordan Chapel Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Mrs. Waters will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Monday.

Mrs. Waters passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at her residence.

Survivors include: one daughter, Brenda Till (Hal) of Ayden, NC; one son, Ricky Waters (Jill) of Piedmont; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Till, Adam Till, Ryan Waters, Stephen Waters, Bryant Waters, Macy Puckett, Trey Puckett, Keegan McIntyre, and Garrett McIntyre; 11 great-grandchildren, J.D. Till, Emma Jane Till, Alexander Till, Emmett Waters, Wyatt Waters, Agnes Waters, Grier Waters, Allie Puckett, Landon Puckett, T. C. Jacobs, and Layla Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Till, Ryan Waters, Stephen Waters, Bryant Waters, J.D. Till, and Jerrylee Sisson.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Waters was born on February 17, 1928, the daughter of William and Brillie Garrett Gosdin. She was a member of Jordan Chapel Congregational Methodist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darson Waters; one sister; and six brothers.
