Funeral services of Annie “RuRu” Ruth Dalrymple, age 81, of Woodland will be held on

Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM CDT at Gray Hill Church of God with Rev. David

Parmer, Rev. Mark Moore, and Rev. Keith Runels officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel East

Baptist Church Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 PM CDT on Tuesday, August

6, 2024. Mrs. Dalrymple will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on

Wednesday.

Mrs. Dalrymple passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Traylor’s Retirement Center in

Roanoke.

Survivors include one son, Gary Dalrymple (Samantha) of Woodland; two granddaughters,

Kyndal McCollough and Gabriel Dalrymple; one grandson, Samuel Dalrymple; six great-

grandchildren; and one sister, Sara White of Frolona, GA.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Hubbard, Kenneth Craven, Johnny Mitchell, Paul Wiggins, Michael

Brown, and Roy Dalrymple.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Dalrymple was born on July 17, 1943, the daughter of Robert

and Etta Overton Brown. She was a member of Gray Hill Church of God and worked in

housekeeping at Traylor’s Retirement Center before retiring. Mrs. Dalrymple was preceded in

death by her parents; her husband, Lem Dalrymple; two sisters, Geneva Craven and Dorothy

Mitchell; and two brothers, Ralph Brown and Smith Brown.
