Obituary
Celebration of life services for Terri Lynn Edwards, age 71, of Wedowee will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Chapel.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after services conclude on Saturday, October 12th.
Mrs. Edwards passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Tanner East Alabama Medical Center in Wedowee.
Survivors include: her husband, Dr. Michael D. Edwards of Wedowee; two daughters, Kristin (Cale) Iorg and their children, Vayda, Loa, Josie and Leif of Nashville, TN and Leah (Zac) Berry of Nashville, TN and their children, Avyn, Breck and Bowen; two sons, Brent Edwards of Jacksonville, AL and his daughter, Blakelee Edwards and Chase (Lauren) Edwards of Birmingham, AL and their children, Hudson and baby boy Grayson who is due in late October ; her father Clyde Earley of Sylacauga; two sisters, Tammy (Murry) Bartow of Birmingham, AL and Tina (Rusty) Earley-Smithson of Birmingham, AL; and a brother, Tim (Gill) Earley of Springville, AL.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Edwards, Chase Edwards, Cale Iorg, Zac Berry, and the staff at their dental office.
Mrs. Edwards was born on November 15, 1952, in Birmingham, AL, the daughter of Clyde and Sarah Wilkinson Earley. She was Christian by faith and was a member of Birmingham First Methodist Church. Mrs. Edwards attended Jacksonville State University where she was a cheerleader. Her greatest joy in life was her family; she absolutely adored her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Edwards loved travelling and being outdoors; whether it was enjoying sunshine at her Lake Wedowee home, skiing in Montana, or relaxing at the beach. She was a devoted Alabama Football fan, “Roll Tide”. Mrs. Edwards and her husband moved to Randolph County in 1979 to open their dental practice. She worked beside her husband in the dental office as an office manager and also obtained certification as a dental hygienist. Mrs. Edwards preceded in death by her mother and an infant sister, Traci Anneice Earley.
