Merl was an incredible man. I was fortunate enough to know him through Abbie Drew and Neal and their children but our connection went beyond that. He rescued my great uncle, who lived across the street, on several occasions including when he broke his hip. Always giving and with a great smile. He will be missed. Prayers for y’all and for the repose of his soul.

Q: What will you never forget about Merl?
A: Merl and Kathy have been out neighbors for over 5 years. Merl was Always outside working in the yard. We seemed to have a battle trying to keep All the pinecones out of the yard! He'd always say.." See ya in the morning" I would laugh, say" You know it !" He was so kind,and considerate. Rest in peace Sweet Man ❤️
