Obituary

Funeral services for Shoan Baldwin Sewell, age 57, of Munford will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Daniel Gissendaner officiating.  Burial will follow at Highway Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, December 2.

Mrs. Sewell passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at her home surrounded by many family members and friends.

Survivors include: husband, Carlton Ray Sewell; son, Andrew Sewell; mother, Brenda Spears Benefield; father, Richard Baldwin; siblings, Craig Baldwin (Misti), Kendal Cotton (Chad), Brianne Poore, Brandon Benefield (Jenn), David Benefield (Leisa), Donna Standridge (Doug), Cindy Bishop (Nance) and Chris Stallings (Kim); brother-in-law, Patrick Sewell (Angie); sister-in-law, Leann Smith (William); special aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Sewell, Patrick Sewell, William Smith, Brandon Benefield, Hunter Cotton, Nance Bishop, Brayden Poore, and David Benefield.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Sewell was born on July 12, 1967, the daughter of Richard Baldwin and Brenda Spears Benefield. She was Christian by faith and was a member of Word of Life Tabernacle. Mrs. Sewell had worked as the office manager at Southern Used Cars. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ernest and Cora Baldwin; maternal grandparents, Bill and Avel Spears; stepdad, Wesley Benefield and a brother, Juston Benefield.
