Obituary of Justan Casey Lovvorn
Funeral services for Justan Casey Lovvorn “J.C.”, age 35, of Woodland will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Midway Community Church with Bro. Ricky Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2024.
J.C. passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Colorado.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Terri Lovvorn of Woodland; one sister, Natalie Boykin (Jim) of Summerdale; his Grammy, Dorothy Lovvorn of Wedowee and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Ryder, Jacob Ryder, Clint Striblin, Edward Whaley, Christopher Ashe, and Brad Kanning.
A Woodland native, Justan Casey Lovvorn “J. C.” was born on August 5, 1989, the son of Richard and Terri Edmondson Lovvorn. J.C. graduated from Woodland High School in 2008. He was Christian by faith and worked many years in the tree industry. He was currently working in Guest Services at Winter Park Resorts, Colorado. J.C. was preceded in death by his Granda, Rayford Edmondson; Grandma, Barbara Edmondson; Grandfather, Don Lovvorn; and Grandmother, Gail Lovvorn.
J.C. was a man who loved life, people, music and nature and his family. He had an infectious smile that would light up a room and make everyone he met feel loved. If you were ever around J.C. you never stopped laughing. You always knew you were loved because he loved with his whole heart. He was a loyal friend who would give you the shirt off his back. He will definitely be missed by everyone.
