Funeral services for Lonnie F. McCarley, age 86, of Woodland, will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Norred and Rev. Wendell Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-3:00 pm on Monday, December 23rd, prior to services.

Mr. McCarley passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at his home.

Survivors include: wife, Pat Wilson McCarley of Woodland; one son, Todd McCarley (Sonya) of Holtville; grandchildren, Abby McCarley Brown (Blake) and Clint McCarley (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Blayden Brown, Callen Brown, Ansley McCarley, Braylon Hammonds, and Celestine Wilson; one sister, Jane McCarley Adair of Talladega; brother-in-law, Larry Wilson (Nancy) of Woodland; sister-in-law, Emily Wilson of Woodland.

Pallbearers will be Steve Carden, Bryant Cofer, Larry Wilson, Jason Kaiser, Collin Estes, and Clint McCarley. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Edwards, Robert Garrett, Rick Rainwater, Phillip Gay, Wendell Shelton, Bobby Reeves, David Johnson, and Autry Shelton.

A Randolph county native, Mr. McCarley was born on July 2, 1938, the son of L F McCarley and Wilma Herren McCarley. He was a member of Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church, and he retired as an adjuster with Auto Owners Insurance. Mr. McCarley was also a veteran of the United States Army where he proudly served his country. He was preceded in death by his parents.
