Obituary of Billy Mac Gibbs

Funeral services for Billy Mac Gibbs, age 87, of Ranburne, will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Terry Gibbs officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Monday before services begin.

Mr. Gibbs passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Katherine Parker Gibbs of Ranburne; one daughter, Robyn Watts (Johnny); one son, Benjamin M. Gibbs (Yuka); two grandchildren, Kye Mac Gibbs and Kohki Mitchell Gibbs; and several nieces and nephews.

A Ranburne native, Mr. Gibbs was born on March 30, 1937, the son of Walter Newton and Minnie Pearl McElroy Gibbs.  He was Baptist by faith and was a retired electrician and cattle and poultry farmer.  Mr. Gibbs was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Billy Keith Gibbs; two infant sisters; two sisters, Helen Pullen and Jayne Gibbs; and five brothers, Junior Gibbs, Stanley Gibbs, George Gibbs, Tillman Gibbs, and Charles Ray Gibbs.
