Obituary of James "Pee-Wee" Rollins
Funeral services for James B. “Pee-Wee” Rollins, age 80, of Woodland will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, January 6, 2025.
Mr. Rollins passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Rollins of Woodland; one daughter, Tammy Lovvorn (Jay) of Woodland; two sons, James Randall Rollins (Shelia) of Woodland and Richie Rollins of Wedowee; nine grandchildren, Meghan Rollins Meadows, Cody Burgess, Haley Rollins Hill, Ashley Burgess Parker, Tyler Rollins, Garrett Rollins, Jaycee Lovvorn, Juliana Lovvorn, and Kinsley Burgess; seven great-grandchildren, Kade Rollins, Andy Hill, Jonah Meadows, Edy Meadows, Sarah Hill, Ridge Parker, and River Parker; and one brother, Danny Rollins of Wedowee.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Rollins, Cody Burgess, Garrett Rollins, Nathan Parker, Brent Rollins, Alec Rollins, Clint Hill, and Heath Meadows. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Cofield, James Moore, Mac Baldwin, Wyatt Wright, Heath Huey, and John Jacobs.
A lifelong Woodland resident, Mr. Rollins was born in Childersburg, Alabama, on November 3, 1944, the son of William E. and Bessie Huey Rollins. He was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Rollins worked as a salesman for Coca-Cola for 32 years before his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Pam Burgess; one sister, Lorene Williams; and one brother, Junior Rollins.
