Myrtice Freeman Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtice Robinson Freeman, age 80, of Woodland, will be held Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 2:00 pm, from Highway Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Vernon Willis and Rev. Ray Franklin. Mrs. Freeman will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Potash Church of God cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.






The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2009.






Mrs. Freeman died Thursday, August 13, 2009, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation.






Mrs. Freeman is survived by two daughters: Jerolyn Holsomback of Woodland, Sandra Baldwin Phibbs of Wedowee; one son, Elton Freeman of Woodland; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.






Pallbearers will be Chris Teater, Jack Teater, Eddie Harrington, Andy Harrington, Dale Robinson and Carroll Kelley.






Mrs. Freeman was born March 28, 1929, son of John and Josephine Blanks Robinson. She was a member of the Highway Congregational Christian Church and had worked for Lamar Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Harvey Freeman; two sons, Steve and Stephen Freeman; two grandchildren, Shane Freeman and Steven Baldwin; one great grand-daughter, Stormie Heard.
