Obituary of Harvey M. Neal

Obituary Notice Funeral services for Harvey M. "Bud" Neal, age 68, of Woodland, will be held Saturday January 16, 2010 at 1:00 PM from Prospect Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Ridley Parmer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Neal passed away Thursday January 14, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Neal is survived by his wife, Brenda Sibley Neal of Woodland, three daughters, Kimberly James of Chapel Hill, N.C., Lynette Stuart of Bogart, Ga., and Christine Kirby of Woodland, one son Lonnie Neal of Woodland, one sister Margie Bowman of Missouri, two brothers, William Neal of West Virginia and Joe Neal of Woodland, seven grandchildren, Haley James, Neal James, Shawn McDebbitt, Cory McDebbitt, Josh Stuart, Sarah Stuart and Lilly Kirby. Pallbearers for Mr. Neal will be Lonnie Neal, Thomas Kirby, Michael James, Bryan Neal, Josh Stuart and Jerry Beall. Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn McDebbitt, Cory McDebbitt, Neal James, Dale Meadows, Dion Loveless. Mr. Neal was born May 27, 1941 the son of Lonnie and Violet Umburger Neal. He was a self employed poultry farmer, and a Baptist by faith. Mr. Neal was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Peggy Whitehouse, Patsy Youngerman, Barbara Thompson and Linda Dawson. and one brother, Michael Neal. Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of the arrangements.
