Funeral services for June Taylor, age 79, of Wedowee, will be held Sunday, February 7, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. from the Midway Methodist Church with Rev. Marty Schwartz, Rev. Don Quick and Rev. Joe Bob Traylor officiating. Mrs. Taylor will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Mrs. Taylor died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Taylor is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Lamutt of Wedowee; two sons, Lawrence Taylor of Wedowee, Jerome Taylor of Roanoke; six grandchildren, Kyle Neal, Moriah Autrey, Kirby Joe and Becca White, Hillary and Eli Taylor; one sister, Nancy Brown of Birmingham; two brothers, Jerry Pollard of Roanoke, Gerson Pollard of Dublin, GA. Pallbearers will be Kyle Neal, Eli Taylor, Victor Autrey, Matt Joe, Brandon White, Jeff Pollard, Scott Taylor and Bob Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was born July 2, 1930, the daughter of William Jefferson and Lucille Stephens Pollard. She was a member of Midway Methodist Church and had been a seamstress for Stephanie Fashions. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Swagg Community Club and AARP. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Taylor; her parents; one brother, Lawrence Pollard.
