Obituary Notice Funeral services for Lessie Bradley Mitchell, age 97, of Woodland will be held Monday February 8, 2010 at 2:00 PM from Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Dr. Corky Addison and Sarah Corson officiating. Burial will follow in the Wedowee City Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell passed away Saturday February 6, 2010 at her residence Mrs. Mitchell is survived by four daughters, Joanne ( Frank) Bolt of Chattanooga, Tn., Emily Whaley of Oxford, Dorothy Huddleston of Wedowee and Lynda ( Tom) Fincher of Woodland, one son, Brad ( Sue) Mitchell of Anniston, four sisters, Mary Nears of Texas, Maurice Lee, Hilda Gittings and Myrtis Hanson all of Wedowee, one daughter -in -law Kerlene Mitchell of Wedowee, twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chip Fincher, Toby Fincher, Wayne Whaley, Jody Whaley, Barry Mitchell, Bradley Mitchell and Frank Bolt. Mrs. Mitchell was born December 13, 1912 the daughter of Henry Milford and Charlotte Kitchens Bradley, she was retired from Higgins Slacks, and a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents, one son Barto Mitchell, one grandson Benny Scott Mitchell, one brother and six sisters. The family request no flowers, instead donations be made to SIFAT, 2648 County Road 113, Lineville Alabama 36266. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Wedowee on Sunday February 7, 2010 from 5 till 7 PM. Mrs. Mitchell will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.
