Funeral services for Donald Wayne Deason, age 67, of Roanoke, will be held Wednesday March 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Latham and officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Deason passed away Sunday March 7, 2010 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Al.

Mr. Deason is survived by his wife Mary ,two sons Jody Belcher of Roanoke and Wesley (Grasshopper) Belcher( wife Rita) of Douglasville, GA., two sisters, Melba Earnest of Roanoke, and Nina Smith of Texas, six brothers, Neal Deason of Decatur, Ellis Deason of Pell City, Jimmy Deason of Columbus, GA, Dennis Deason of Wedowee, and Johnny Deason of Roanoke, and three grandchildren Blake Belcher, Logan Williams, and Harley Belcher, one sister in law Loraine Deason, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Josh McGlothlin, Justin McGlothlin, Curtis Deason, Steve Busby, Bobby Ryals, and Frank Newborn.

Mr. Deason was born April 18, 1942 the son of John Calvin and Mary Reaves Deason, in Albertville, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Wedowee from 5:00 PM til 8:00 PM Tuseday.
