OBITUARY
Funeral service for Mr. Lamon Luther Wilson, age 79, of Woodland, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 20, 2010 from East Napoleon Church of Christ. Mr. Wilson will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilson died Wednesday, August 18th at East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Hanner Wilson of Woodland; two daughters, Donna (husband Richard) Curvin of Woodland, Lutricia (husband Mike) Preston of Carrollton,GA; two son, Randy Wilson of Woodland, Billy (wife Genice) Wilson of Woodland; one brother, Major Wilson of Woodland; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Wilson, Brent Wilson, Brian Preston, Cody Preston, Jason Mitchell, Ridley McManus and Corey Mitchell.
Mr. Wilson was born, September 7, 1930, the son of William Kay and Estella Langley Wilson. He was a member of the East Napoleon Church of Christ and had been a mechanic for Randolph County Board of Education. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Phillip Wilson; three sisters and three brothers.
