Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Myrtle Key Pettus age 84 of Wedowee will be held Monday November 1, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Union Hill Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Pettus passed away Friday October 29, 2010 at Clay County Nursing Home.
Survivors include two daughters Jeanette McCard of Oxford and Connie Bedford of Alexandria, one son James Pettus of Leesburg, one sister Betty Graham of Wedowee, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Mrs. Pettus was born May 5, 1926 the daughter of John and Ada Huddleston Key, she was a homemaker and a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Daniel Pettus.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home - Wedowee on Sunday October 31, 2010 from 6 till 9 PM. She will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.
