Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Donald Ray Lovvorn, age 75, of Woodland, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 4, 2010 from Smyrna Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Rivers officiating. Mr. Lovvorn will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010.
Mr. Lovvorn died Monday, November 1, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Lovvorn is survived by his wife, Gail Talley Lovvorn of Woodland; one daughter, Toni (husband Troy) Lippard of Woodland; six sons, Ed (wife Donna) Lovvorn of Villa Rica, GA, David (wife April) Lovvorn of Wedowee, Richard (wife Terri) Lovvorn of Woodland, Eric (wife Shelia) Lovvorn of Ranburne, Scott Smith of Woodland, James Smith of Anniston; one sister, Louise (husband Ed) Gann of Carrollton, GA; eighteen grandchildren; one great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Mr. Lovvorn was born, March 10, 1935, the son of George Thomas and Millie Brooksie Beck Lovvorn. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church and had been a Computer Tech. Mr. Lovvorn was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ed Lovvorn; two grandchildren, Brandon Hanson and Kyle Ervin.
