Funeral services for Mrs. Christeen Stevens Whitley, age 66, of Woodland, will be 10:00 am, Friday, December 31, 2010 from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2010.
Mrs. Whitley died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Whitley is survived by her mother, Mary Ezell Steven of Roanoke; one son, Kim Lee Whitley of Woodland; one brother, Doyle (wife Darlene) Stevens of Pamona, CA.
Pallbearers will be Neal Harrington, David Harrington, Eddie Harrington, Frank Newborn, Paul Saxon and Wade Spratlin.
Mrs. Whitley was born, August 13, 1944, the daughter of Ofa Lee and Mary Ezell Harrington Stevens. She was a retired seamstress for Bremen and Bowdon Investment Co. Mrs. Whitley was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Whitley; her father; one son, Johnny Ray Whitley.
