Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Lee Cox Phillips, age 50, of Woodland, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 1, 2011 from Prospect Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Terrell and Rev. Ridley Parmer officiating. Mrs. Phillips will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 31, 2010.

Mrs. Phillips died, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Tanner Medical Center.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her husband, Raymond Hill Phillips, Jr. of Woodland; three daughters, Melissa Winters of Woodland, Melanie Carroll of Graham, Kimberly Phillips of Roanoke; two sons, Trey Phillips of Rome, GA, Mark Phillips of Brundidge, GA; one sister, Shirley Geter of Woodland; two brothers, J. W. Cox of Woodland, H. M. Cox of Woodland; eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Mrs. Phillips was born, December 15, 1960, the daughter of Marion A. and Annie Fay Daniel Cox. She was a member of the Prospect Methodist Church and had been a homemaker. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents.
