Obituary Notice
Funeral services for, Irene Dobbins Scarbary, will be held, 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 22, 2011, from the Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in the Wedowee City Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2011.
Mrs. Scarbary died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Scarbary is survived by her husband, Curtis Wayne Scarbary of Wedowee; four sons, Curtis & wife Cindy Scarbary, Jr. of Wedowee, Charles Scarbary of Lakeland, FL, Joel & wife Chon Scarbary of Wedowee, Josh Scarbary of Wedowee; seven grand-daughters, two grand-sons.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Scarbary, Jr., Charles Scarbary, Joel Scarbary, Josh Scarbary, Jim Scarbary, and Timmy Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Countryside Hospicee employees.
Mrs. Scarbary was born, August 26, 1950, the daughter of Charles Willis and Nancy Jewell Baker Dobbins. She had been a sander for Welborn Cabinets. Mrs. Scarbary is preceded inn death by her parents.
