Funeral services for Nell Hadaway Haynes age 86 of Wedowee will be held Saturday February 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Wedowee with Rev. Don Paris And Rev. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow in the Wedowee City Cemetery. Mrs. Haynes passed away Wednesday February 23, 2011, 2011 at clay County Hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Gloria C. Haynes of Wedowee and Gayle H. Hill of Houston TX, one son Al C. Haynes of Wedowee, three sisters Jessie Pless of Dadeville, Nedra Pinney of Lanett, and LaTayne Haynes of Guntersville,five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Micheal Haynes, Bill Pinney, Donald Pinney, Tom Hudson, Dennis Haynes, and Horace Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be First Baptist Church of Wedowee Deacons. Mrs. Haynes was born October 15,1924 the daughter of Jesse James and Mary Barber Hadaway, she was a member of the 1943 West Point High School graduating class, retired after 37 years with the Bank of Wedowee, a lifetime member of Wedowee Garden Club, longtime treasurer of Randolph Co. Cattleman's Assn., and a member of First Baptist Church of Wedowee. She was preceded in death by her husband Chandler Haynes her parents, three sisters and three brothers. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee on Friday February 25, 2011 from 5 till 8 PM.
