Funeral services for, Mr. Wayne Jeter, age 67, of Roanoke, will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Hendon officiating. Burial will follow in Potash Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Friday, March 11, 2011.
Mr. Jeter died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Randolph Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Melba Kelly Jeter of Roanoke; two daughters, Melinda (husband Tommy)Lipham of Wedowee, Ingrid(husband Mike) Webb of Madison; one step-son, Stacey(wife Vickie) Mitchell of Roanoke; one brother, Ray Jeter of Roanoke; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Mr. Jeter was born, December 20, 1943 the son of George Henry and Callie Gray Jeter. He was a member of Highway Methodist Church and had been a mechanic for Southwire. Mr. Jeter was preceded in death by his parents.
