Funeral services for Melinda Carolyn Deese, age 21, of Heflin, will be held Sunday May 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Dempsey officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday May 28, 2011.
Ms. Deese died May 26, 2011 at St. Vincents St Clair Hospital. She is survived by her parents Greg and Sherry Jeffers Deese of Heflin, one brother Joey Deese, and one grandmother Florence Pate of Jacksonville. Ms. Deese was born January 2, 1991.
Pallbearers will be Edward Huddleston, Cliff Deese, Shane Beason, Nicholas Kimbrell, Chase Robinson, Jerry Burnell, James Deese, and William Locklear. Condolences may be left at www.benefieldfhwedowee.com
