Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Buford G. Adamson age 88 of Wedowee will be held Thursday June 2, 2011 at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow in the Wedowee City Cemetery.
Mr. Adamson passed away Tuesday May 31, 2011 at his residence.
He is survived by two daughters Peggie Edgmon of Memphis, Tn. and Cathy Adamson of Wedowee, two sisters Laverne Dodson of Anniston and Evelyn Bradley of Wedowee, three brothers Bobby Adamson and Dwayne Adamson both of Wedowee and Wes Adamson of Niceville, Fl., one grandson Christopher Edgmon and one great grandson Jeremy Edgmon.
Pallbearers will be Tony Heard, Jack Gross, Jackie Whaley, Blake McCool, Danny Bailey and Don Carruth.
Mr. Adamson was born March 23, 1923 the son of Wesley and Delia Beam Adamson. He was retired from FMC Corporation as an electrician. He was a veteran of World War II serving as a Sargent in the United States Army. He was a Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sara Adamson.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home-Wedowee on Wednesday June1, 2011 from 5:30 till 8 PM.
