Funeral services for Patricia B. Mitchell, age 55, of Wedowee, will be held Friday, June 10, 2011, at 11:00 am from Mt. Grove Baptist Church with Rev. James Lee and Rev. Donald Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home - Wedowee in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 9th.

Mrs. Mitchell will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning at 10:00 am on Friday.

Mrs. Mitchell died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Mitchell of Wedowee; three daughters, Peggy Joyce Landreth of Five Points, Sherri Mulder of Wedowee and Vicky Brautigam of Fayetteville, NC; two sons, Jimmy Williamson of Roanoke and Aaron Williamson of Wedowee; her mother, Clyde Brown of Roanoke; one sister, Patsey Pinkard of Roanoke; three brothers, Paul Brown and Ricky Brown, both of Roanoke and Jackie Brown of Franklin, GA; 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Skyler Williamson, Keith Mulder, Chris Brautigam, Matt Pinkard, James Brown, Paul Brown Jr. and Tommy Pinkard.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Mitchell was born April 2, 1956, daughter of Robert Lee and Clyde Bradley Brown. She was a member of Mt. Grove Baptist Church and had been employed with Candlewick Mills. She was preceded in death by her father.
