Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Dowell Dodson age 76 of Woodland will be held Monday August 22, 2011 at 12 Noon at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Smith and Debbie Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinetucky Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Dodson passed away Saturday August 20, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Dodson is survived by his wife Tyran Dodson of Woodland; two daughters Jeran McIntosh of Woodland and Kathy McIntosh of Carrollton, Ga; three sons Corey Dodson of Woodland, Terry Dodson of Whitesburg, Ga and Keith Dodson of Carrollton, Ga; Eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Mr. Dodson was born November 9, 1934 the son of Trumie and Cora Wade Dodson. He was a Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Scottie Dodson, one daughter Lisa Dodson, three brothers and one sister.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Monday August 22, 2011 from 10:00 AM till 12 Noon.
