Funeral services for Imogene Hester Green, age 79, of Wedowee, will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday September 11, 2011, from the Napoleon Church Of Christ with Brother Terry Langley officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 10, 2011.
Mrs. Green died Thursday September 8, 2011 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Green is survived by her husband Clifford Green of Woodland, two daughters Yolanda (Mike) Hudson of Lanett, Melissa (Danny) Bridgman of Napoleon, one son Charles Green of Woodland, one sister Mary Craft of Lanett, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Hudson, Tim Hester, Mike Hester, Bo Cobb, Tommy Weatherford, and Matthew Bridgman.
Mrs. Green was born August 19, 1932, the daughter of William C. and Mattie L. Laney Hester. She was a member of Napoleon Church of Christ. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Clarence Hester, Coyt Hester, Charlie Morris Hester, and one sister Earla Weatherford.
