Obituary of Levert Arrington

Obituary Notice Funeral services for, Levert "Sam" Arrington, age 73, of Woodland, will be held, 2:00 pm , Friday, October 14, 2011, from the Liberty East Baptist Church with Rev. J. C. Phillips and Rev. Ridley Herren officiating. Mr. Arrington will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 13, 2011. Mr. Arrington died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at his home. Mr. Arrington is survived by one daughter, Lynn (husband Ken) Eason of Woodland; two sons, Keith (wife Laura Roark) Arrington of Woodland, Ken (wife Patricia) Arrington of Woodland; one sister, Mary Nell Thompson of LaGrange, GA; two brothers, Archie Arrington of LaGrange, GA, Orbie Arrington of Hogansville, GA; five grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bobby Hollis, Barney Brown, Buddy Holloway, Ray Moody, Waymon Smith and Verlis Brown. Honorary pall bearers will be his grandchildren. Mr. Arrington was born, May 31, 1938, the son of Joseph and Lela Edmondson Arrington. He was a member of Liberty East Baptist Church, a member of the Heaton Lodge #354 F & AM, and had worked as a mechanic for Southwire.
